Keith Lowell Jensen is one of the four comedians from The Coexist? Comedy Tour, that I had the chance to interview some time ago for Punchline.ro. He’s The Atheist Comedian. A kind of Richard Dawkins with a cold and godlike sense of irony. Not your average Comedy Central type of comedian, but a club comic, a touring comic, a working comic. The kind I really appreciate.
Opening the CD case
And he’s just got out a brand new CD, actually his debut comedy CD called “To The Moon (Live at Luna’s)”. Though this is not the set he initially intended to record, it’s a great one. At first he wanted to tape the “well-developed and well-rehearsed” (in his own words) atheist themed set, but in one of the three nights dedicated to the recording he got the idea to capture his newer club material so that… this CD happened.

After a really nice sarcastic intro joke, the CD had a pretty slow start for me, because of all the local references I obviously didn’t get. But soon topics changed and the laughing out loud all alone in my room started. “Kid in the Bar!”, “I Fucked Her (Time Travel Joke)”, “Porn with Buddies” and “Porn Backwards” really tickled my sense of humor.

I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that I wasn’t able to deconstruct every joke into a specific mathematics formula. In other words, it was original. And no useless or nonsensical social commentary that I’m sometimes just sick of. Only fair and insightful jokes.
A great listen, all ending in a wonderfully crafted story that reminded me of Woody Allen’s stand-up.

I genuinely would like to get away much more and halt wasting the vast majority of my time of day logging hands in poker on myspace or facebook only because as of late i have been losing out on reading regarding this. Despite the fact that I cannot state that I one hundred percent agree with each and every premise, it is excellent to digest some reasonable commentary as an alternative to the regular trash I come across floating all over the internet.

Huh, It reminded me a joke i’ve heard yesterday. As the moral is closely the same! =) A guy in his forties bought a brand-new Audi and had been out on the interstate to get a wonderful night drive. The top was initially down, the wind was blowing via what was left of his curly hair and man decided to open her way up. As the needle hopped as much as 80 mph, he eventually noticed blinking red and blue lights behind him. “There is not a way they could catch that auto!,” he thought to himself and opened her up more. The needle come to ninety, 100…. Then the fact of the problem strike him. “What the heck ‘m I doing?” he said and pulled over. The cop arrived up to him, took his license without having a word and examined it and also the car. “It is happen to be a long day, this is the end of my shift and it’s Friday the 13th. I do not really feel like more paperwork, therefore in case you’ll be able to provide me an reason for your driving a car which I never have heard earlier, you’ll be able to go.” The guy thinks for a moment and says, “Last week my wife leaped off with a cop. I was scared you were trying to deliver her back.” “Have a nice weekend,” says the policeman.
